Applications

ExcellentHANDLING, FLEXIBILITY, LIGHT-WEIGHT characteristics ideal for applications in the loading/unloading of road and rail tankers for the transfer of chemical products, solvents and acids in suction and discharge. Typically used by the major chemical industries and freight carriers. Available also in Mariner version for extreme applications such as ship unloading.

Applications

HANDLING, FLEXIBILITY, LIGHT-WEIGHT characteristics ideal for the transfer of aggressive chemical products, penetrating solvents and discharge and suction acids. PTFE is generally used where PP is inadequate.

YPTFE/GG,SG,SS combines the chemical properties of PTFE with high heat resistance. Common applications are liquid sulfur and bitumen. The temperature threshold depends on the fluid and by the operating pressure. Commonly used by the major chemical industries and freight carriers.

Available also in Mariner version for extreme use such as ship unloading.
Temperature: -20°C / +100°C.

Tests

Hydraulic test at 15 bar (BS 5842) on request 1.5 x operating pressure.
Electrical continuity test between fittings.
Each flexible has an ID code to ensure traceability.

Safety

Minimum burst pressure 4 x PE according to BS5173. Safety factor 4:1.
All tests are performed at ambient temperature.

Fittings

Fittings are available in BRASS, AISI 316L and CARBON STEEL.
Clamping rings in galvanized steel and gaskets in NBR. Other materials on request.
