Fire-resistant intumescent adhesives

Intumescent adhesives, silicone or aqueous dispersion-based sealants are designed to provide fire protection. After application they become an elastoplastic mass that can also be painted; if the mass is exposed to fire it expands providing a valid barrier to the flame propagation. 

They are used in many applications such as building construction, road, rail and naval means of transportation, containers and plants, and they comply with national and international standards and certifications.
